This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Vendors should reference Request for Quotation, GS-TFGD-97-1028. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 4215. This requirement is set-aside for small businesses. The General Services Administration (GSA) intends to procure on-call courier services for the Office of Information Technology Integration (ITI), located at 5203 Leesburg Pike, Suite 1100, Falls Church, VA 22041-3467. (1) On-Call Messenger Service for the Washington Metropolitan area. On-Call pick-up/deliveries shall be required Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 6:00PM (except weekends and Federal holidays). (2) Preprinted tickets shall be prepared in advance to reflect the ITI account number and return address. (3) Contract Period will be from October 14, 1997 through September 30, 1998. (4) Federal Holidays where no service will be required are as follows: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King's Birthday, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. For any additional non-scheduled Federal holidays or closings, the contractor will be notified 24-hours in advanced. (5) Billing will be monthly. The Government anticipates awarding an order to the offeror whose proposal is most advantageous to the Government, price, and ability to meet factors described in Items (1) through (3). Offerors are required to complete and submit with its proposal the Representations and Certifications required by the clause at FAR 52.212-3.
