The Corps of Engineers at Caven Point Terminal intends to contract for the delivery and pickup of six-40 CY dumpsters, eighteen-30 CY dumpsters and six-10 CY dumpsters to accept garbage, construction waste, fiberglass boats, tires, plastics, styrofoam, etc. These quantities of dumpsters may vary from the estimate. If the quantity is exceeded by an amount up to one-third lf the stated quantities, the vendor is required to charge the unit bid price. The vendor must leave an empty 30 CY dumpster when a loaded 30 CY dumpster is picked up without a specific instruction. Pickup of loaded dumpsters will be sheduled upon call to the vendor from a Physical Support Branch employee. The unit price in the contract can be adjusted upon proof of legitimate increases in landfill fees. The EPA ID # for Caven Point is NJ4210022501. The contractor shall also furnish and maintain in operation a 20 CY electrical trash compactor. Operation of the compactor shall be by government personnel. Maintenance and repairs of the compactor shall be the contractor's responsibility. Repairs to the compactor shall not exceed three (3) days in duration. If the compactor is inoperable for more than three (3)) days, it shall be the contractor's responsibility to replace the compactor on base with a functioning unit. The unit should be compatible with the government provided electrical supply: 220V, 30A, single phase. Vendors will quote a monthly rental price for the above compactor services. Bidders will quote dumpster and compactor prices for the base year (FY98) and each of two (2) option years. The apparent low bidder will be determined from the lowest overall total bid for all contract years. This procurement is restricted to small businesses.
