G -- HOTEL BEDS FOR HOMELESS VETERANS SOL RFP 662-5-98 DUE 103197 POC Annie Bell, Contracting Officer, (415) 750-2240 The VA Medical Center requires a block of ten beds for eligible beneficiaries of the VA Medical Center, 4150 Clement Street, San Francisco, Ca 94121. The block of 10 beds shall be reserved for homeless veterans 365 days per year. The hotel need to be geographically accessible by public bus line to the VA Medical Center. The hotel must be safe, spacious and well-maintained. Services shall also include temporary lodging, on-site supervision, weekly bed and bath linen service, room cleaning equipment and supplies for use by the Veterans, and monthly room cleaning. The manager and staff should have experience and willingness dealing with psychiatric diagnosis, and substance abuse clients which will be women and/or men. The VA Medical Center will provide individual case management services, program oversight, and outpatient clinical services to veterans utilizing this VA contract for hotel beds. The contract performance period is 11/1/97 (or date of award), through 10/31/98 with 4 one-year option through year 2002. (0262)
