PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Mid-Atlantic Regional Contracting Office, Lexington, Kentucky, intends to award a firm fixed price contract under Invitation for Bids 101-5173, for the construction of an approximately 16,000 square foot administration building with an armory in the basement. The building is to be constructed at Federal Correctional Institution, Ashland, Kentucky. The tentative issue date for solicitations is, October 10, 1997, with a tentative receipt of bids date of November 14, 1997. Requests for the solicitation should be made no later than October 22, 1997, to allow sufficient time for solicitation mailing. The anticipated period of performance is 365 days. The magnitude of this requirement is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Award is restricted to small businesses. There is a non-refundable fee of $130.00 for the solicitation.
