NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for: 5,000 Blind Protruding Head Rivets (NAS1919M06S08; Chemical & Physical Certs Required); 2,500 Blind Protruding Head Rivets (NAS1919M06S10; Chemical & Physical Certs Required); and 1,000 Blind Protruding Head Rivets (NAS1919M06S12; Chemical & Physical Certs Required). All of these rivets are for Space Flight Use, and must be delivered to Goddard by 01/15/1998. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The anticipated release date of RFQ 750-40557-0000/920 is on or about 09/22/1997 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 09/26/1997. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Note "B".
