D -- HAITI TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES SOL WA10JUL977810/11 DUE 111097 POC Glodean Smith, 618-256-9477;Contracting Officer, Marcia Ann Ferranti, 618-256-9473 The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) intends to modify Communication Service Authorization (CSA) AT W 111253 to extend the contract on a month to month basis up to 6 months. The contractor is AT&T, Suite 800, 2020 K Street, Washington, DC 20006. The leased service supports voice and data communications between Ft. Detrick, Md and various locations in Haiti. The current contract includes 2 international T-1s, a transportable earth terminal, 11 portable microwave systems, generator systems, shelter, PBX system with 98 trunks and approximately 500 stations, support equipment, extensive cabling, operations and maintenance in Haiti, immediate response time to problems, and contractor provided moves and changes. Evaluated options include additional capacity and equipment. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This contract action continues critical service to allow time for competitive reaward. However, the requirement maybe significantly reduced in the future procurement.
