NETHERLANDS: REGULATION II AMENDING THE PRAWN/SHRIMP REGULATION The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif.97.428. 1. Description of content: Pursuant to the present Regulation, a ban is being introduced on the sale of prawns/shrimps which have not been introduced onto the market (for the first time) before they have been submitted to the official at a prawn/shrimp auction to inspect the prawn/shrimp-size grading, as prescribed by the EU Council. 7. Objective and rationale: The ban is introduced to enforce the mesh duty under criminal law. 8. Relevant documents: Prawn/Shrimp Regulation. 9.
