Y -- DINING FACILITY / CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER / VEHICLE MAINTENANCE FACILITY BEALE AFB, CALIFORNIA SOL DACA05-97-B-0096 DUE 120497 POC Contract Specialist Andy Ortega (Site Code DACA05) Description (Spec No. 9761): The project will provide a 600 SM dining facility to support the increase personnel associated with the closure of McClellan AFB. The programming documentation calls for concrete foundation, floor slabs, structural steel frames, built-up roof, necessary site preparation, HVAC, electrical, and area paving. The project will include kitchen equipment, fire protection, EMCS, and all necessary associated features (interior and exterior) to yield a complete and usable facility for its intended use. Description (Spec No. 9763): Construct a Child Development Center adjacent to Buildings 3306 and 3308; consisting of concrete foundations, concrete floor slabs, structural steel frame, and built-up roof. Project also includes all necessary site preparations, HVAC, electrical and area paving. Description (Spec No. 9764): The project will provide a 600 SM vehicle maintenance facility to support 197 additional vehicles transferring to Beale AFB due to the closure of McClellan AFB. The programing documentation calls for concrete foundation, metal frame, masonry walls, built-up roof, HVAC system, electrical lighting and fire protection. The project will include EMCS, a free-standing loading/unloading dock, and all necessary features (interior and exterior) to yield a complete and useable facility for its intended use. This procurement will be conducted under SIC code: 1542. The size standard for this SIC code is: $17,000,000. Large businesses competing for this project must comply with the FAR 52.219-9 clause regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan on the part of the work it intends to subcontract. The recommended goals for subcontracting are 55.0% for small business, 8.5% for small disadvantaged business, and 3.0% for small business/woman-owned. A firm that submits a plan with lesser goals must submit written rationale to support goals submitted. Estimated cost is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This project will provide plans and specifications using CD-ROM only. Because a limited number of sets will be reproduced, copies are limited to one set per firm. The cost of the CD-ROM is $25.00. Requests must be ordered and check received in this office by the CUT OFF DATE of 10/22/97. Orders received beyond this date will not be honored. CD-ROMs will be mailed out on or about 10/23/97. Payment by company check, certified check or money order made payable to the Finance and Accounting Officer, USAED, Sacramento, must be submitted with your order request or delivered in person to USAED, Sacramento, ATTN: Plan Room, 1325 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95814-2922.
