Z -- C-17 ALTER MAINTENANCE HANGARS 3 & 4, AND BUILDING 20 IMPROVEMENTS, MCCHORD AFB, WA SOL DACA67-98-B-0003 DUE 111897 POC Contract Specialist John M Norway (206) 764-6659 (Site Code DACA67) DESCRIPTION OF WORK: At hangars 3 and 4 alterations include: modification to T-tail section of hangar doors to accommodate C-17 aircraft, rewire hangar door operator electrical circuits to emergency generator, provide emergency generator, convert to water deluge fire protection system, repair ceiling mounted draft curtains and selective changes to facility including electrical, lighting, fire alarm, floor drainage and wash water systems, seismic upgrades and interior painting. At pump house building 20 alterations include: refurbishing 5 existing fire pumps, construct new sloped roof with standing seam metal roofing over existing flat roof, lighting and power upgrades, and painting. Some modifications will include lead based paint and asbestos removal. No on-site work allowed until 11 Jul 98. AVAILABILITY: Plans and specs available on or about 15 Jan 98 at no charge per set. No individual sheets are available. Documents will be issued on a first come, first served basis until supply is exhausted. No phone requests accepted.
