Office, Columbia MD 21045-0701, will issue Solicitation
#232098-98-A-0003 on or about September 29, 1997 for an Indefinite
Quantity Construction Contract for Repairs & Alterations. The contract
resulting from this solicitation will include various repair and
alteration type projects at postal leased and owned facilities in the
geographical area of the South Jersey District Area (NJ Counties:
Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean
and Salem; DE Counties: New Castle, Sussex and Kent) At the discretion
of the Contracting Officer, one or more contract may be awarded.
Contractors must have a minimum of three (3) years experience as of the
date of issue in general construction work. Contractors must also
posses the capabilities of working at least two to four jobs at the
same time. Specific Work Order/s will be issued by the Contracting
Officer in accordance with the Unit Price Schedule and Specifications.
One or more "Work Orders"will be issued totaling not more than
$250,000.00 during a two (2) year period contract. The initial limit of
$250,000.00 may be increased by modification as agreed upon by the
Contractor and the Contracting Officer up to the maximum of
$3,000,000.00. The Postal Service guarantees no specific number of Work
Order nor a specific amount. The contractor will not be required to
perform work under any work order where the value of Work in any one
building is less than $500.00. Offerors will be required to submit one
(1) "MULTIPLIER" to be applied to the various UNIT PRICES established
in the "UNIT PRICE SCHEDULE". The Multiplier must contain the
Offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance and all other
contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract
award. OFFERS ARE DUE BY: OCTOBER 24, 1997 BY 4:00 PM Plans and
specifications will be available on or about September 29, 1997 at
$50.00 per set, NON-REFUNDABLE, referencing Solicitation
#232098-98-A-0003. Checks/Money Orders are to made payable to: U S
