U -- EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN -- PARAMEDICS TRAINING DUE 101597 POC Natalie Sullivan, Contract Specialist, 910/432-6978; Jane Sutherlin, Contracting Officer, 910/432-2146 This is a notice of intent enter into a contract with the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, TX to provide training for qualification as Emergency Medical Technician -- Paramedics within the guidelines and certification standards of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians to challenge the NREMT examination. The course of instruction will be for ten (10) weeks each quarter and will consist of required didactic/classroom training and field experiential training; with local Emergency Medical Services ambulances, and clinical experiential training, with local hospital and medical institutions, which provide patient exposures for practical hands-on applications under the supervision of privileged, certified and/or licensed clinicians and practitioners; to meet the certification requirements of the NREMT. Interested parties should provide capabilities and pricing to support this training not later than 15 days after publication of this notice. The Government reserves the right to determine whether or not to open the acquisition for competition based on the responses received. No solicitation will be issued as a result of this notice. Requests for a solicitation will be considered non-responsive to this notice and not considered. Failure to provide adequate information regarding capabilities, course curriculum, and pricing to allow for evaluation will be considered non-responsive to this notice and not considered further. Standard Industrial Classification for this action is 8999 with a size standard of $5.0 million. This acquisition is unrestricted.
