equipment, transportation, and supervision required to remove existing
insulation remaining on the 6-inch steam line from Manhole 312 to
Manhole DC-6 located in the Creighton Street tunnel. The work also
includes installation of 2-inch thick cellular glass insulation with
protective metal jackets on 6-inch steam line located in the Creighton
Street tunnel. Approximate length is 450 feet. Temporary ventilation
must be provided as temperature in the tunnel is in excess of
120-degrees F. Additionally, dewatering of the tunnel may be required.
The work is to be conducted at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery,
ME. The SIC code for this project is 1622 with a size standard of
$17,000,000. The period of performance is 30 calendar days. The
estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The procurement
will be issued as unrestricted. All requests for solicitation must be
