The U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground, AZ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis and award a contract to Oehler Research, Inc., 1308 Barclay Drive, Austin, TX 78746 for the upgrade of existing Acoustic Target Systems. The upgrade will consist of six (6) Target Control Subsystems; eighty (80) Hemispherical Microphones; four (4) Accreditation/Validation of the Enhanced Acoustic Target System (at YPG); and two (2) Accreditation/Validation of the Enhanced Acoustic Target System (at Oehler). The original system was designed and developed by Oehler Research and the items being acquired must have form, fit and function compatibility with the original systems currently in use at USAYPG. All data relative to the system is proprietary to Oehler Research. It is anticipated that the contract will be for a base period of contract award through 30Sep98 and will contain one, one-year option period. See Note 22. (0266)
