70 -- PRIMEOCR SOFTWARE SOL 52-PAPT-7-00044 DUE 092997 POC Joan Hanicak, 703-305-8069 This is a sole source, combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, the test program outlined in FAR 13.6 as well as supplemental information provided herein. This non-competitive action will be processed in accordance with FAR 6.301-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). Prime Recognition, San Carlos, CA is the developer and only known source who can provide the proprietary software, maintenance and upgrades to existing software licenses, as well as the expertise to provide the on-site consulting services required. The software and services are required for the continuation of the Automatic Classification and Routing System (ACRS) Project at the Patent and Trademark Office. This announcement constitutes the RFP and is the only solicitation that will be issued. A sole source proposal is being requested pursuant to this announcement and shall reference solicitation number 52-PAPT-7-00044. This solicitation incorporates all of the applicable provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 90-46, as if stated in full text, as well as the terms and conditions of FAR 52.212-1.. A firm fixed price commercial item contract will be awarded utilizing simplified acquisition procedures. The software and upgrades will be delivered within 30 days to the Patent and Trademark Office, FOB destination. The services will be performed and completed within a twelve month period beginning with the effective date of the contract. The maintenance of the software products procured herein will be effective for a 36 months from delivery of the software.
