A -- CALIBRATION AND SCENE METHODOLOGY FOR TRUE DISPLAY TECHNOLOGY SOL DSWA01-97-R-0049 DUE 111297 POC Herbert A. Thompson, Jr., Negotiator, (703) 325-1182, Edward L. Archer, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-5028 This effort is to develop a true display suitable for Department of Defense Strategic Nuclear and Tactical System Testing. The objectives are to optimize and standardize the optical components for three specific wavelengths between 2-6 microns, three specific wavelengths between 8-12 microns and three specific wavelengths between 14-28 microns using reflective and direct optical trains. Incorporate a minimum of two Nuclear Optical Dynamic Display Simulators (NODDS) chips to increase display size. Build a second set of electronics for use with one-chip NODDS display or the multiple-chip NODDS display, develop a true display technology for hardware and software testing to verify subsystems with strategic nuclear applications, tactical discrimination applications and focal plane array components for kill assessment improvements. The contract will be a cost plus fixed fee completion type. The duration of the effort is estimated to be thirty-three months.
