Q -- EXCESS MEDICAL SPACE SOL 665-29-97 DUE 100197 POC Mike McGinley (818) 895-9354 The Department of Veterans Affairs Southern California System of Clinics proposes to enter into a sole source procurement of 2585 net occupiable square feet of excess medical space, pursuant to the authority in Public Law 104-262, "The Veterans Health Care Eligibility Reform Act of 1996, with the County of Los Angeles, High Desert Community Hospital in Lancaster, CA. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.602. This hospital meets the governments minimum needs for immediate access to emergent ancillary support capabilities of laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, ADP for connection to VA's information management system, without delays for build-out time. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
