Smith (202) 622-0803 The Department of the Treasury has a requirement for a financial advisor to provide assistance to the Department during the privatization process of the United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC). The financial advisor shall be required to (1) provide assistance in the development of the technical basis for evaluating the statutory tests set for in the USEC Privatization Act and the Energy Policy Act of 1992; (2) provide technical assistance to Treasury on the technical aspect of the review of privatization materials, and; (3) provide technical assistance to Treasury during the Treasury's assessment of materials received from potential purchasers. The sucessful offeror shall have demonstrated experience in privatization, IPOs, M&A, as well as familiarity with the energy and utility market. The anticipated period of performance is for approximately six months. The Treasury anticipates release of the RFP on or before November 1, 1997.
