NASA Langley Research Center plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity Contract for General Construction Projects. This solicitation was previously posted as a Draft Solicitation 1-071-GGL.1024. The Government intends to issue multiple awards under this solicitation. The contracts will have a 2-year base period and a 3-year option period. Delivery orders will be issued against these contracts. Delivery Orders will be in the range of $75,000 -- $2,000,000. Sample Delivery Order A in this package will be the first delivery order to be issued under these contracts. The order of magnitude for Sample Delivery Order A is between $500,000 and $1,000,000, and the effort shall be completed within 270 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a full and open competition as part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This procurement is not a small business set-aside. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about 10/15/97 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about 11/14/97. The firm date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the RFP. Drawings will be available from the Bid Distribution Office at 757-864-2547. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Note "B". The solicitation and amendments (if any) to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in ASCII or RTF format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
