This modification is issued to revise the synopsis previously published as solicitation N00014-97-R-JJ05 on 29 April 1997. The solicitation number is revised to N00173-98-R-DL01. The text is revised as follows: The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has a requirement for engineering and technical support for research and development. Both on-site and off-site support is required to address several research tasks: (1) Analysis and Control of Airborne Chemicals; (2) Chemical Analysis and Chemical Sensor Development; (3) Shipboard Environmental Technologies for Liquid and Solid Wastes; (4) Environmental Remediation and Site Characterization for UXO; and (5) Site Characterization and Remediation of Contaminated Soils, Groundwater and River Sediments. An Indefinite Quantity type contract is anticipated. The estimated minimum level of effort is _350,000 labor hours and the estimated maximum level of effort is $17,500,000 at this time but, is subject to be revised at the time of solicitation issuance. The statement of work, labor categories, level of effort, and personnel qualifications will be included in the solicitation package. The period in which task orders may be written is 60 months. Proposals will be due approximately 45 days after solicitation is issued. Numbered Note 26. applies.
