Alexander/Pkwrs/ [937]257-6338 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) and this includes all provisions and clauses in effect thru FAC 90-40. This is a sole source requirement IAW FAR 6.301-1. This is a recurring requirement for software maintenance reference previous purchase order F33601-97P1594. This RFP has the following line items: 0001 (1 lot) -- Software Maintenance Support of Biosym (Insight II); 0002 (1 lot) -- Software Maintenance of Biosym (Cerius 2) modeling software. The contractor shall provide total software maintenance support for software modules to include periodic software upgrades, new operating system changes, solutions to computer problems and unlimited telephone, fax or e- mail advice. Place of Performance: WL/MLPJ, 3005 P Street, STE 1, WPAFB OH 45433-7702. The following clauses and provisions apply: 52.212-1 and 52.212-3. Clause 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 shall be included with any offer. WPAFB intends to award to Molecular Simulations Inc., 9865 Scranton Rd, San Diego CA 92121-2777. All responses received from responsible sources on or before 15 days from this publication will be fully considered.
