This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) F0561198Q0123. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-1. The Standard Industrial Classification number is 7375 and the business size standard is $18.M . This proposed procurement will be unrestricted. Women owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals. The USAF Academy requires five (5) subscriptions with three (3) personal identification access numbers each to access services for computer assisted legal research for the time period 3 Oct 97 or date of award whichever is later, through 30 Sept. 98. CLIN 0001 Legal research services QTY 12months. Unit Price: $__ __ ___ per month. Extended Amount: $__ __ __ __for 12 months. Further the contractor shall provide the following service: Access services for computer assisted legal research, service to include access to the following databases; Lexis, Nexis (NEWS), Sheppards Citations, AutoCite, public financial, medical, recordings, filings, jury verdicts. All printing and down loading are to be included in price. Contractors will provide maintenance and training by qualified representatives. Software maintenance will include software that supports Windows 95, for both on-site modem and telnet (Internet) connections, with all upgrades and telephone support as required. On-site training of user personnel by qualified instructor(s), up to twice a year, as required. The contractor will supply up to 1000 copies of instruction manuals (including, but not limited to, library contents lists, quick reference cards, and keyboard templates) Support includes all firmware/software upgrades; including instructions for installation and configuration, software release (if required). . All information technology (IT) items must be year 2000 compliant. Non-compliant items must be upgraded at no additional cost and be Y2K compliant by delivery date the earliest date when compliance required to process Y2 date, but not later than Dec 31, 1999. Y2K compliant means IT accurately processes date/time data (including, but not limited to, calculating, comparing, and sequencing) from, into and between the twentieth AD twenty-first centuries, and the years 1999 and 2000 and leap year calculation. Y2K compliant IT when used in conjunction with or exchanging data with other IT, shall accurately process date/IT information. ALERT: Vendors are STRONGLY encouraged to use the Standard Form 1449 as the first page of their quote and completely provide the requested data for all blocks. If you choose NOT to use the SF 1449, you are cautioned to complete and provide with your written quote all the data requested by FAR 52.212-1. Failure to do so may render your quote as non-responsive and may eliminate you from consideration from award.
