Y -- CONSTRUCTION OF LAVA BUTTE LOOKOUT TOWER SOL R6-1-98-101 DUE 111097 POC Contract Clerk (541) 383-5543 or FAX 541-383-5544 This project consists of construction of a lookout on the top of Lava Butte on the Bend/Fort Rock Ranger District. The lookout structure shall have a 12 foot high tower with a 14 foot by 14 foot wood frame cab. The structure shall also have an enclosed area beneath the cab at ground level. The existing lookout shall be removed by the Government prior to the issuance of the "Notice to Proceed" for this contract. The area occupied by the existing lookout shall have all materials, including concrete footings/foundations, removed and the remaining materials (soil/cinders) leveled. Approximate start date is 11/24/97. Contract time is approximately 167 days. Cost range for this project is between S25,000 and S100,000. (0268)
