The work consists of work at two sites as follows: 1) Spring Creek Site -- a) Earthwork (approximately 50,000 cy) for constructing a wetland area, to include a dike, two open ponds, one pond with 5 islands, three canals, and an overexcavation berm, b) constructing approximately 20,000 sf of concrete sidewalk, three flow control structures, 30 feet of storm pipe, and two handwheel operated gates, and c) furnishing and installing a 1100 gpm pumping system. 2) South Concho Site -- a) Removing and replacing approximately 150 cy of riprap, b) furnishing and installing approximately 550 lf of 8 inch diameter PVC pressure pipe, c) providing an earthfill pump pad and additional riprap, and d) furnishing and installing the pump, enclosure, and controls for delivering a 900 gpm flow to the South Concho River. The estimated price range of the work is $500,001 to $1,000,000. The work is located 4.5 and 9.0 miles southwest of San Angelo, Texas, in Tom Green county. Solicitation packages will be available approximately October 6, 1997. Bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 10:00 a.m., November 6, 1997, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Twin Buttes Field Office, 5973 Knickerbocker Road, San Angelo, Texas. The contract must be completed by no later than March 22, 1998. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation; additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 for each copy.
