NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the purchase of one off-axis parabolic mirror, diameter 18.5" (470 MM), focal length 40" (1016 MM), off-axis distance 11" (279 MM), working apper: 18" (457 MM), material low expansion glass surface acc 1/8 @ 6328A greater than 95%, coating AIS: 0, finish 60/40 and one mirror mount to hold and support above off-axis parabolic mirror. Mount must have micrometer AZ/EL adjustments as well as leveling feet. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3829, with a small business size classification of 500. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). See Numbered Note 26. The anticipated release date of RFQ 712-0000/920 is on or about October 6, 1997, with an anticipated quote due date of on or about October 27, 1997. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Note "B".
