Pursuant to FAR Subpar 5.203(a) and FAR Subpart 13.6, the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) will solicit NIDA Corporation on a sole source basis for the following training equipment: CAI MASTERS, MIL (SITE), P/N 99901403, and CAI, FAULT MASTER SOFTWARE, P/N CAI-DISK. This software and license is in addition to the training equipment posted in the Commerce Business Daily on 17 September 1997. NUWCDIVNPT requires the training equipment and software to upgrade NIDA Corporation training equipment at Fleet ASW Training Center (FLTASWTRACENPAC). This equipment is standard throughout the U.S. Navy for ratings requiring electronics skills. The upgrade will allow existing inventory of proprietary NIDA card sets to be retained and reused which is cost effective for the Government. Further, electronics training at FLTASWTRACENPAC must be compatible with other Navy electronics training programs using NIDA Corporation's training equipment. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination FLTASWTRACENPAC. NIDA will be solicited orally; anticipated award date is 29 September 1997. (0268)
