(Reclamation) has a requirement for the furnishing of Asphalt. The
proposed purchase order will be a requirements contract. The Government
or its authorized representative, Okmulgee County, Oklahoma will pick
up and transport the asphalt to the project site, located in the
northeast corner of the junction of U.S. Highway 266 and Highway 75, on
the north side of the city limits of Henryetta in Okmulgee County,
Oklahoma. The Hamilton Strip Mine Site (HSMS) located 1.5 miles south
of the EPMS site along Highway 75, and 1.1 miles east of Highway 75 on
Trudgeon Road. The portion of the Trudgeon Road to be repaired and
resurfaced starts at the intersection of Trudgeon Road and Highway 75,
and extends along Trudgeon Road for approximately 1.1 miles to the
east entrance of the HSMS site. The low bidder must demonstrate that
its plant/facility is within 60 highway miles of the project site.
Quotes from firms outside the 60-highway mile radius will not be
accepted. No set-aside status is applicable to this action. The
standard industrial classification code applicable to this action is
2951; the size standard is 500 employees. List of contract line item
number, item, quantities and units of measure, include the following:
Asphalt, Hot lay, Hot Mix, Type B Est Qty 2275 x Per Ton = $ Date(s)
and acceptance and FOB point. The period of performance will be from
date of issuance of a purchase order through and including May 31,
1998. The furnishing of materials by the vendor will be under the
direction of Reclamation's Contracting Officer's Technical
Representative and the EPA On-Scene Coordination (OSC). Material
ordered will be picked up by a representative of Okmulgee County,
Oklahoma. The vendor will be required to furnish 3 copies of all
material invoices. All invoices must be accompanied by documentation of
receipt of materials in the form of verified weight tickets. This is a
combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation document which will be issued;
quotations are hereby requested and a written solicitation will not be
issued. Reference the following RFQ# 1425-97-SQ-81-92093 The
solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those
in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. This acquisition
is subject to clauses FAR 52.212-1 52.212.3 through 52.212-5
Commercial items. Additional clauses included in this
synopsis/solicitation include Requirements Contract: 52.216-18,
Ordering; 52.216-19 Order Limitations; 52.216-21, Requirements;
Quotations must be received no later than 12 noon Mountain Daylight
time on October 13, 1997. Firms should fax a completed RFQ Form SF-18
