Existing Buildings requirements: The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) prefers that proposals be submitted by a USPS Lease. Under these conditions, the USPS will design and construct the space to postal specifications at postal expense. The minimum size size specified in the solicitation is 60,480 square feet. Construct and Lease requirements: The offeror must own or control the site and will be required to construct a 5,090 net interior square foot building on a minimum site size of 60,480 square feet excluding setbacks, easements, etc. The property must be properly zoned to permit use for a postal facility or must be capable of being rezoned for such use without delay of construction. The owner will be responsible for all action necessary to obtain zoning prior to leasing to the Postal Service. The USPS requires that proposals be submitted on a USPS Lease containing a Construction Rider. All requests for a proposal package must be accompanied by a check or money order, made payable to the DISBURSING OFFICER -- USPS, in the amount of $35.00 for each package.
