Systems and equipment covered by this contract will include hydraulically-operated slide gates, large (24-inch and 36-inch respectively) motor-operated ball and butterfly valves, bulkhead hoists, an overhead crane, a diesel generator, small and medium-sized pumps, a gravity drainage system, ventilation fans, an incinerating toilet, a small room air-conditioning unit, motor control centers, lighting systems, electrical distribution and raceway systems, and associated piping, ductwork, gages, and other miscellaneous equipment. Solicitation will include a base period (to commence not later than 01 January 1998 and continue through 30 September 1998) plus up to four one-year option periods (beginning 01 October 1998 and continuing through 30 September 2002). There exists a possibility that only 1 option may be exercised; however, all option prices will be evaluated at the time of award. Bids will be evaluated on pricing and past performance. Department of Labor wage rates for Puerto Rico will be included in the solicitation and included in the resultant contract.
