The Government anticipates a need to contract for a hydraulic component test stand, NSN: 4920-00-450-0553 (JCA) in accordance with Performance Specification #PRF SPEC 87976(T). The Government does not intend to award a contract based on this synopsis. The Air Force plans in the future to procure a hydraulic component test stand in support of multi-aircraft. The stand's intended use is to check serviceability of aircraft components prior to installation, pressure check locally manufactured hoses, and test repaired aircraft hydraulic components. This test stand shall have two different configurations; one with all functional test capabilities and a Variable Speed Drive (VSD) for aircraft hydraulic pump testing and a second configuration with provisions for inclusion of the VSD. This hydraulic component test stand shall contain a drive console which houses a drive panel, pump mounting pad, and skid that contains a variable speed direct current electric drive motor with associated parts. The hydraulic component test stand shall also contain a high pressure system hydraulic pump with electric drive motor, volume control, high pressure filter, and ripple filter. The automated control console shall contain controls, indicators, and ports used during test stand operation. In addition, the Government is hereby issuing a request for Information (RFI) to investigate and identify commercially available units to be used for same purpose addressed above. The purpose of this announcement is to survey current industry capabilities, to include monthly delivery rate projection, and to develop a list of potential sources for either a performance specification contract or a commercial-off-the-shelf production contract.
