project shall be performed within the state of Oregon at the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers, The Dalles Dam, The Dalles, Oregon. Phase I of
this project is to decommission two underground storage tanks (USTs):
one (1) 5,000 gallon unleaded gasoline tank and one (1) 5,000 gallon
diesel tank. This includes the removal of the piping and pumping
equipment; testing soil and/or water within the excavation for
contamination; excavation and disposal of contaminated soil and/or
water; cutting concrete and/or asphalt pavement, removal and disposal
of excavated pavement materials; and backfilling the excavation with
Contractor provided material. Phase II requires providing the
equipment, labor and materials necessary to furnish and install one (1)
8,000 gallon split compartment with RFMH petroleum storage tank system
utilizing underground Permatank (or equal) double-wall tank. Estimated
amount for this job is between $100,000 and $200,000. Technical

Tentative bid opening date is NOVEMBER 14, 1997. This procurement is
open to both large and small business concerns. The size standard for
which is a concern including all affiliates, with average annual sales
or receipts for the preceeding years not in excess of $17 million. All
responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the
