this procurement is unrestricted. The bid results are subject to
verification and will be evaluated in accordance with DFAR
252.219-7008, NOTICE OF EVALUATION PREFERENCE FOR SMALL DISADVANTAGED
BUSINESS CONCERNS -- CONSTRUCTION ACQUISITIONS TEST PROGRAM (APR 1996).
The Standard Industry Classification (SIC) Code is 1542, General
Contractors, Nonresidential Buildings, Other than Industrial Buildings
and Warehouses. The Size Standard is $17.0 million. The work includes
the renovation of the Naval Reserve Center including construction of
a new handicapped access ramp and entrance, new flooring, ceiling, and
wall finishes, door replacement, casework, new shower and locker
rooms, installation of a fire protection system, HVAC and plumbing
system upgrades, new lighting and electrical upgrades, sidewalks, curbs
and parking lot paving, new fencing and incidental related work. The
estimated cost range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Plans
and Specifications will be made available on or about 16 October 1997.
The estimated date for the receipt of bids is 18 November 1997. There
is a $50.00 NONREFUNDABLE charge for plans and specifications. Submit
your request to the address listed above. Checks, money orders, cashier
or certified checks made payable to "Treasurer of the U.S., C/O
EFACHES", are the only acceptable payment method. Plans and
specifications will be issued on a "first come, first served" basis,
until supplies are exhausted. Site visit information will be contained
