R -- SECURITY SUPPORT SERVICES SOL JFUSA-98-0030 DUE 111397 POC Kenneth Freeman, Contracting Officer 202-307-1971 The U.S. Department of Justice, Justice Management Division, Procurement Services Staff, intends to issue a solicitation for Security Support Services that will cover physical, information, personnel and communications security of United States Attorneys' offices nationwide, as well as other DOJ components. Contract performance will be primarily in the Washington, D.C. area, but some travel to sites throughout the United States and its possessions will be required. The contractor will be responsible for conducting physical security surveys, designing security systems, coordinating the installation of security systems, and acting as liaison with architects, builders, and contractors. As a minimum, security specialists provided by the contractor shall have prior experience in federal or military security programs or an equivalent thereto which provided the individuals with the appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities. The anticipated contract will be for a base year with four option periods which could extend the performance of the contract for a total of 60 months.
