Sealed bids for award of firm-fixed price construction contract to provide all labor materials, equipment, and expert supervision to remove and replace approximately 3,700 square feet (S.F.) of build-up roofing and approximately 5,250 S.F. of new cold-applied modified buitmen roofing. This project involves work on two (2) separate roofs at the VA Medical Center, Louisville, Kentucky. Built-up roof replacement includes complete tear-off of existing roof system and replacement with new tapered insulation and a 4-ply, hat tar BUR. The existing BUR flashings contain approximately 5% chrysotile asbestos. The modified bitument roofing system will be applied directly to a metal roofed modular building and will not require tear-off of an existing system. Cost range between $25,000 and $100,000. Requests for bid packages must be in writing and accompanied by a non-refundable $50.00 charge per set. Make check or money order payable to "VA Medical Center #603".
