Survival with Integrated Ballistic Protection System. For use by air,
ground, and sea deployed forces. With approved ACC or AMC pocket
configuations known as Air Advantage. Also tactical, law enforcement,
CCA, and other versions as approved. Base vest shall be constructed of
high strength, durable mesh with two permanent on-seam hand pockets
with tabbed snap closures, and two permanent inside tear-open pockets.
Pockets shall be constructed of high strength, durable pack cloth.
Base vest shall have affixed multiple rows of female Snap Track
attachment devices. Gear pockets shall include sewn-in-place lanyard
attachment loops, have zipper and snap closures, and must have affixed
one or more male Snap Track attachment devices to allow for removable
attachment to vest. Vest shall be supplied with required pockets, a
holster (if required), and other gear carriers as specified attached in
approved configuration. Vest shall be one-size-fits-all with
adjustments at the waist and shoulders. Vest shall integrate, as
required, with rescue or other harness, parachute, and personal
flotation devices. Integrated ballistic protection system consists of
soft body armor constructed from non-woven, unidirectional fiber,
composite ballistic material having an areal density not to exceed 1.1
pounds per square foot. Material shall be inherently waterproof and
resistant to UV light degradation. Armor material shall be covered with
lightweight fabric in panel form. Armor panels shall be removable and
covered in fire retardant, washable fabric. One-size-fits-all
construction with shoulder and side protection. Additional side
protection or trauma panels available separately. Silent, quick release
adjustment buckles at the waist and shoulder to allow vest to be
adjusted for snug fit. Panel covers shall have sewn in pockets to allow
addition of soft trauma packs, or ceramic or other armor plates for
additional protection up to NIJ Level IV. Color: black. Survival, Inc
