Certification must be granted for the hood and hose assembly as a system. Hoods must be compatible with the existing breathing air system currently installed and in use at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Current system consists of the following: hood, air-fed, nuclear, standard, Trusafe model number AC-ll-CE; hood, air-fed, nuclear, welding, Trusafe model number WE-ll-CE; hose, rubber, breathing, 25 ft, Trusafe model number 6025-CE; hose, rubber, breathing, 50 ft, Trusafe model number 6050-CE and hose, rubber, breathing, 100 ft, Trusafe model number 60100-CE as manufactured by Trusafe and covered under MSHA/NIOSH approval number TC-19C-190. Quantity of hoods required and the type of contract to be awarded will be specified in the solicitation package when issued. Destination point: Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000.
