Division(SPRD)of the National Risk Management Research Laboratory
located in the Robert S. Kerr Environmental Research Center -- Ada,
Oklahoma needs on-site contract services to provide technical support
of the research that is directed toward solving environmental problems
national in scope and importance. The SPRD serves as the U.S. EPA's
center for risk management research on the subsurface environment and
the interface of that environment with other environmental compartments
such as surface water and the atmosphere. The Division's research
supports EPA's programs to protect and restore subsurface environments
and to manage and restore watershed ecosystems. The SPRD focuses its
efforts on research studies of: the transport and fate of contaminants
in the subsurface and at the interface of the subsurface with other
environmental compartments; methodologies to protect and restore
ground-water quality; biogeochemical cycling of mass and energy through
natural soil and subsurface processes, and methodologies for the
restoration of watershed ecosystems. Services required will include the
following: analytical support; field technical support; ground-water
chemistry research support; biotransformations research support;
ecosystem restoration protection research support. U.S. EPA intends to
award a Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract
consisting of a fifteen(15) month base period, three (3) twelve (12)
month option periods and one(1)nine (9) month option period for a total
potential contract term of 60 months. EPA's requirement is for a
maximum of 437,100 labor hours over the five year period. A
pre-proposal conference/site visit may occur, details will be included
in the RFP. The purpose of this CBD announcement is to notify
potential offerors of EPA's requirement, generate a source list, and to
direct interested parties to the EPA's "Doing Business with EPA"
Internet World Wide Web site at http://www.epa.gov/oam/cinn_cmd for
further information on this procurement as it becomes available. The
RFP, amendments and other related items for this procurement will be
posted to the Web site and can be downloaded. Interested parties must
