D -- INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES SOL 453/0020Z/98 DUE 102097 POC Purchasing Agent, SHARON STEWART, (202) 231-2825 The Virginia Contracting Actiivty, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), intends to solicit and negotiate with Silicon Graphics, Inc. on a sole source basis to award a service purchase order. This purchase order will be for annual system level support to include hardware and software maintenance, upgrades, releases and technical support. The hardware maintenance will be for the following Silicon Graphics hardware: three (3) Challenge L servers, one (1) Onyx2 Infinite Reality workstation, one (1) Crimson Reality Engine workstation, three (3) 02 Studio workstations, thirteen (13) Indigo2 workstations, and three (3) Indy workstations. The period of performance will be from date of award through 30 Sep 98. Other sources capable of satisfying this requirement are invited to submit clear and convincing data substantiating their capabiity to satisfy this requirement. All responses should reference PR 453/0020Z/98. Interested parties have 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their qualifi- cations/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a full and open competition basis. Responses received without the requested information may be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. Oral communications are not acceptable to this synopsis. A determination by the Virginia Contracting Activity not to compete this proposed procurement on a full and open competition basis, based on responses to this synopsis, is solely within the discretion of the Virginia Contracting Activity.
