The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Mid-Atlantic Regional Contracting Office, Lexington, Kentucky, intends to award a firm fixed price contract under Invitations for Bids 101-5173, for the construction of an approximately 16,000 square foot adminstration building with an armory in the basement. The building is to be constructed at the Federal Correctional Institution, Ashland, Kentucky. The tentative issue date for solicitations is October 17, 1997, with a tentative receipt of bids date of November 21, 1997. Requests for the solicitation should be made no later than October 31, 1997, to allow sufficient time for solicitation mailing. The anticipated period of performance is 365 days. The magnitude of this requirement is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Requests for plans, specifications and drawings should be made to Jerome D.
