13 -- 120MM TANK TRAINING AMMUNITION, M831A1 & M865 CARTRIDGES POC Amy Hayden, Contracting Officer: (309)782-7183 The US Army Industrial Operations Command is seeking sources for substanital quantities of the M831A1 Cartridge, 120mm, Target Practice with Tracer (TP-T); and the M865 Cartridge, 120m, Target Practice Cone Stabilized Discarding Sabot with Tracer (TPCSDS-T). Award of a multiyear systems contract(s) for up to five years is anticipated in the second quarter of fiscal year (FY)99. Deliveries will begin nine (9) months after contract award. All firms interested in participating in this acquisition must submit a statement that demonstrates their expertise, experience, and capabilities in 120mm tank ammunition production, process control, and design. The Statement should include experience in systems contracting and systems integration; demonstrated annual production quantities; annual production capacity; history of meeting delivery schedules; the quality system in place; process control techniques applied; expertise in factors which affect ballistic performance to include production processes; capability in ballistic testing and analysis; and expertise to develop improvements in processes, controls, and design to reduce costs. Information submitted may include organization, personnel, and facilities that meet the specific 120mm needs. The statement shall be limited to three pages. Preprinted brochures or literature may accompany the statement. Responses will be evaluated by the Government and used to establish the Bidder's Mailing List.
