36 -- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE -- SCRUBBER LIQUID TREATMENT SYSTEM SOL A66812 DUE 102297 POC Mike Willis, Senior Mechnical Engineer, 406-494-7248 This is a Presolicitation Notice to identify parties able to provide a scrubber liquid treatment system as described below. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Responses to this notice will be used to identify candidates for procurement of a scrubber liquid treatment system by MSE. Prospective vendors should respond by October 22, 1977. Response to this announcement should include company experience in providing scrubber liquid treatment systems. The system to be procured will be part of an air pollution control system for the off-gas from a plasma arc furnace that will be used to thermally treat pyrotechnic ordnance. The scrubber liquid is blowdown liquid from a quencher/absorbed and scrubber that will be pumped out of the absorber sump to the scrubber liquid system. The scrubber liquid treatment system will be a continuous flow system that will treat the scrubber liquid and reduce the total dissolved solids (TDS), total suspended solids (TSS), and nitrates levels. It is anticipated that the system will be multi-stage system consisting of a chemical precipitation and clarifying unit, a reverse osmosis unit, and a denitrification unit.
