36 -- DEVELOPMENT/FARBICATION OF SCRUBBER LIQUOR TREATMENT SYSTEMS SOL A66811 DUE 101797 POC Sergei Babko-Malyi, 406-494-7259 MSE Technology Applications, Inc. is requesting process and cost information from vendors who specialize in the development and fabrication of scrubber liquor treatment systems. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The information, provided in response to this notice, will be compiled into an Engineering Economic Study Report that will be submitted to the Department of Energy -- Mixed Waste Focus Area. After review, the most economically feasible treatment process may be purchased for performance testing at a DOE site. MSE will consider all technologies including evaporation, chemical precipitation, reverse osmosis, etc. In general, the process shall be a continuous flow system that will reduce the Total Dissoled Solids (TDS -- 50,000mg/l) and Total Suspended Solids (TSS -- 30,000 mg/l) of the scrubber liquor to a maximum concentration of 1000 mg/l for TDS and 1.0 mg/l for TSS. The technology must be capable of removing RCRA metals such as mercury, chromium, nicket, etc. from the scrubber liquor. The flow rate of liquor to the streatment system will be 1-10GPM -- nominally 2GPM. Interested vendors can obtain a scrubber liquor analysis from Sergei Babko-Malyi at MSE Technology Applications, Inc., 406-494-7259. Responses to this announcement should include the vendors experience in scrubber liquor treatment system, an abstract dscription of the process, a rough order of magnitude capital cost-initial system cost rounded to the next $1,000 and a rough order of magnitude of yearly operating costs -- consumables, energy, number of man hours, etc. Interested vendors should respond by Oc6tober 17, 1997.
