NSWC Crane seeks sources and requests information on Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) depth sounders to replace the US Navy's AN/UQN-4,-4A depth sounder. The COTS depth sounder shall meet the minimum requirements as follows: Frequency of operation: 12 kHz; Minimum depth sounding range: 2000 meters; Must interface to existing 125 transducer ; Visual and audio alarms for following conditions: shallow water, lost tracking, system fault; Variable transmit pulse length; Built-in gray scale printer; Built-in digital depth display; GPS annotation (from external GPS source) with each depth sounder ping; Depth data compensated for ship's motion; Draft depth compensation to 30 meters minimum; Event annotation capability; User selectable display units: meters, feet, fathoms; Selectable sound velocity; Software assisted trouble shooting; Drive capability for at least 3 passive remote displays; Drive capability for at least 1 active remote display; Modular construction; Depth sounder muting by other sonar when it is active or listening; RS 232, RS 422, RS 485 interfaces; 120 VAC operation.
