S -- - SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO PROVIDE RESEARCH TO INVESTIAGE THE INFLUENCE OF FISHERY-INDUCED STRESS ON ETP DOLPHINS HELD BY NMFS, SWFSC. Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract to provide research to investigate the influence of fishery-induced stress on ETP dolphins held by the National Marine Fisheries Service/Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC). Contractor will conduct research to determine whether encirclement by tuna vessel purse-seines is having a significant adverse impact on any depleted dolphin stock in the eastern tropical Pacific Ocean (ETP). Sources responding to this notice must possess a Ph.D. in Fisheries Science or closely related field. This is a 100% small business set-aside (less than $5.0 million/yr).
