COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF OCTOBER 9,1997 PSA#1948REQUEST FOR VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT FOR TERRORISM INFORMATION Sandia
National laboratories, Albuquerque, New Mexico, with funding from the
National Institute of Justice, is producing a document to give a
comprehensive overview of currently available tools for assessing
vulnerabilities to terrorism. Local governments need tools for
assessment in order to address their vulnerabilities to terrorist
attack and increase their ability to counteract terrorism and deal with
any consequences. For this local government audience, Sandia is
surveying tools that have potential for use in performing assessments
of vulnerability to terrorist attacks. Tools surveyed will include
available software modeling tools, training classes and tools,
documented procedures or techniques, and tools of other forms
potentially useful to the vulnerability analyst. Currently, Sandia is
soliciting information from companies or organizations interested in
having their products or technology included in this document. Please
limit your response to only those products or technologies that are
presently or will be available within one year. Please send the
information via mail, fax, or electronic mail by October 21, 1997 to
