Allen, (301) 757-8948/ Contracting Officer, Craig Curtis, (301) 757-2602 On a sole source basis, the Naval Air Systems Command plans to place a class of orders with Boeing Defense & Space Group, Helicopters Division, Philadelphia, PA for the H-46 helicopter. These orders will acquire services, materials, spares, contractor support and supplies relating to the H-46 Dynamic Components, airframe, electronic systems, design studies, engineering and manufacturing, data, and service life extension. Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the H-46 series of helicopter and the only known firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience, and technical data required to perform these efforts within the limited time and budget constraints of the U.S. Navy.
