There will be a purchase of at least 2 each 4X4 compact pickups with extended cab style with two doors with short bed, g.v.w.r. min./max., kg (LB) 2000(4400)/2500 (5500), wheelbase as required, unleaded gasoline engine, manual transmission preferred, 2 speed transfer case OEM std. differential, h.d.a. suspension shocks power ABS brakes, power sterring, OEM std. hubs, frt. wheels locking, 15 in wheels, OO/AT tires, 95A/525 CCA alternator battery min, h.d.a. cooling system, 56(15) fuel capacity, min. AM/FM radio (RA) 3 pass. seating capacity, min. step type bumper, rear type std. air conditioning (AC) (prefer no air conditioning if available), std. intermittent wiper (WN), std. skid plates, foldaway mirrors, std supplemental restraint sys. cruise controls, tilt steering. Prefer cloth upholstery. There will also be a purchase of at least four each additional vehicles as described above with two exceptions. These vehicles (pickups as described above) must have automatic transmission with air conditioning and power locks. There will also be a purchase of two each 4 passenger sedans (subcompact class) with a trunkstyle. Volume index, min. cu ft. 95. WH 2400, Base curb wt. 1000, unlead-ed gasoline engine 4/1.8L, automatic transmission, air conditioning, pwr win and power locks. Tires, radial 13/P175. Radio AM/FM (RA). Seat frt. bucket (BS) cloth upholstery, seat area, supplemental restraint system and passenger restraint system (PRS)Tilt steering. Suspension OEM STD., P/B and P/Steering. Electrical sys h.d.a. and cooling system,h.d.a. Colors of these vehicles must all be a mixture of dark colors-not red. The Government will make an award to the responsible Offeror(s) whose offer conforms to the solicitation contained herein and is most advantageous to the government (i.e., that which represents the best value to the Government), cost or price and other factors including time period requiredfor delivery to the US Despatch Agency, Miami, FL, considered. The combined relative merit of the technical evaluation factors listed above will be more significant than cost or price in the selection of the contractor. While the cost or price factor has no numerical weight, it is a criterion in the overall evaluation of proposals. Furthermore, the proposed cost or price must be considered reasonable and must reflect the proposed technical requirements for the vehicles. The Government may award a contract to other than the lowest priced offer. In the event that two or more offers are considered technically equivalent, the evaluated cost or price and delivery time will be of primary importance in determining the proposal most advantageous to the Government. Delivery period must be no greater than 90 days unless the vehicles must be purchased from the mfr.'s assembly line. In that case, the factory production schedule would be taken into consideration and perhaps an extended time period for delivery would be allowed.
