NASA/DFRC plans to issue a Request for Offer(RFO)to: Furnish and install five (5) reconditioned or new manufactured modular units for the Research Engineering Support Facility (RESF), including foundations, perimeter crawl space skirt, parapet framing, interior finishes, existing fire sprinkler system, HVAC, and new electrical lighting and power service at Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards AFB, CA 93523-0273; Option No. 1: Furnish and install five (5) reconditioned or new manufactured modular units for the X-33 Office Building, including foundations, perimeter crawl space skirt, parapet framing, interior finishes, bathroom module with plumbing, existing fire sprinkler system, HVAC, and new electrical lighting and power at Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards AFB, CA 93523-0273; Option No. 2: Provide fully operational wet-pipe fire sprinkler riser, flow alarm, and building distribution piping in the RESF; Option No. 3: Provide fully operational wet-pipe fire sprinkler piping, flow alarm, and building distribution sprinkler piping in the X-33 Office Building; Option No. 4: Provide cement stucco exterior finish on the RESF; Option No. 5: Provide cement stucco exterior finish on the X-Plane Office Building. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 1542 and $17.0(M), respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The provisions and clauses in the RFO and model contract are those in effect through FAC 90-46. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about 10/29/97 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about11/13/97. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
