The Bureau of Engraving and Printing plans to issue a solicitation for paper to be used in the Offset printing of Aerogrammes at the Washington, D.C. facility in accordance with the BEP Specification P:A0-1E dated August 8, 1997. The paper to be provided shall be suitable for printing aerogrammes by the offset process on web presses and designed for printing with commercially available heat-set offset inks. The government anticipates that a Firm Fixed-Price Requirements type contract will be awarded with one base period of 12 months plus four 12 month option periods, with an estimated quantity of 7,000 feet for each of the contract periods. The solicitation will be available on or about December 1, 1997. Interested firms are required to submit a written request for a copy of this solicitation by this date.
