Arentsen, (618) 229-9661 The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), Computer Technology Division, Procurement Branch (DTS42), Scott AFB, IL, intends to issue a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) for Hardware Maintenance of Unisys Equipment. The current Unisys environment consists of eight DMCs, and numerous DOD/non-DOD activities located world-wide utilizing Unisys B series, U5000/6000 distributed systems, 2200/400, 2200/500, and 2200/600 mainframe computer systems for consolidated processing of mission support applications. It also contains more than two hundred and ninety two worldwide sites utilizing DCPs and Local Area Networks(LANs) connected via Air Force Internet (AFIN), the Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET), Defense Information Systems Network (DISN), and other data circuits to the DMCs. The RFP will result in a five (5) year (one base year and four option years), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The RFP will be issued on or around 22 Oc 97.
