NASA/MSFC intends to procure this service from DATATAPE, Inc., of Monrovia, California. Pursuant to FAR 5.202(a)(1), full and open competition is not sought due to the highly specialized test equipment. The equipment to be maintained and repaired has no general purpose use. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. RFP will be released on or about 15 days after publication of this synopsis in the CBD. Firm date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
